You’ll need quick oats, soy oil, and a jar of your favorite preserve. We recommend raspberry or strawberry to for a taste of spring freshness.
You will need to combine your oats, flour, brown sugar, salt and baking soda in a large mixing bowl. Add soy oil to the mixture, tossing it until it crumbles. Then, split the mixture in half, one for the crust and the other for the top of your bars.
Press the crust in a 9×13 greased pan. Spread the jam evenly over the crust, then crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top of the bars.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown.
